Announcements
LABORATORY MAKE-UPs will be done according to the timetable(click the link) on next week(May 11 - 15 week). DO NOT BE LATE for these make-up sessions. Students who have any excuse can attend the make-up sessions.
MAKE-UP Exam will be held on May 15, 2026 Friday between 13:45 - 15:25.
Student List who can attend make-up exam are on the list at the document MAKE UP LIST FOR MIDTERM.(Click the link and Check your name)
If you have any problem with your medical report, please consult the medical center.
MIDTERM EXAM covers the topics from CH 21(included) to CH 27(included).
Exam will be held at P-101 Class.
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR FOR THE EXAM. ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT( Smartphone, smart watch etc. ) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED DURING THE EXAM.
Students have to bring their Student Identity Cards with visible profile photo on it for exam attendance. If your profile photo is not visible on your student ID card, you should also bring citizenship ID card.
MIDTERM EXAM will be held on April 24, 2026, Friday at 13:45(Duration:100 minutes). Exam covers the topics from CH 21(included) to CH 27(included).
Exam Places(according to SURNAMES) and seating plan for each class will be announced at 13:30 on course website and webonline before the exam.
Exam Places: H-A02, H-A03, H-A04, P-A01, N-A01, N-A02, N-B02, M-A02, M-102 and M-B07.
Check your class and your desk at your class immediately. Proctors will help you to find your desk in the class.

Lab 2 Sessions For Section 9 &11 students;
Lab 2 sessions on Thursday(March 19) and Friday(March 20) will not be done due to Ramadan Holiday. Those students have to attend Laboratory 2 sessions according to SCHEDULER on 23-29 March week.

Only the students who have labs on March 19, Thursday and March 20, Friday CAN select lab make up session on the scheduler.
SELECT A LAB SESSION you will attend on the scheduler(March 23-29 week). Limited number of students will be able to choose each lab session.
SAFE EXAM BROWSER(SEB) is NO LONGER REQUIRED TO ATTEND QUIZ SESSIONS.
Quizzes will be held on Thursdays (online) via webonline between 22:00 - 22:30. You will have 15 minutes to complete your quiz session. There will be two questions in each quiz. Use your scientific calculator to reach the correct answer. Quiz will be graded out of 100 points(50 points for each question). You can see schedule of quizzes on the course website - Syllabus.
Since SEB is no longer required, students are expected to experience no issues with their quiz sessions.
QUIZ-3(CH 24) --------> 23 - 27 March week
QUIZ-4(CH 25) --------> 30 March - 3 April week
....and so on.
For students who had problems on Quiz-1 and 2, make-up quiz sessions will be held according to schedule below;
Quiz-1(CH 21-22) Make Up session will be held on March 18, 2026 Wednesday between 22:00-22:30
Quiz-2(CH 23) Make Up session will be held on March 18, 2026 Wednesday between 22:30-23:00
You have only one attempt for the quizzes.

A training quiz will be avaliable from March 2, Monday 18:00 until March 4, Wednesday, 22:00). You have many attempts for the training quiz. Training quiz will not be graded , Please do participate!
*** TEST QUIZ(Timed test quiz on March 4, Wednesday between 22:00-22:20)
THEN after attending trainning quiz, you are strongly advised to attend TEST QUIZ(Timed test quiz on March 4, Wednesday between 22:00-22:20). You will have only one attempt for this TEST QUIZ. This test quiz will not be graded!
*** QUIZ-1(CH 21-22) is the first quiz which will be graded and held on March 5,Thursday between 22:00-22:20).

Laboratories will be held at H-340 (Phys132 Lab).
There will be laboratory beginning from the first week for;
Section 1-3-5-7-9-11 on odd numbered weeks (week 1,3,5… etc.)
Section 2-4-6-8-10-12 on even numbered weeks (week 2,4,6… etc.)

You can get your PHYS132 laboratory manual form PHOTOCOPY OFFICE on the campus.
80 % attendance for laboratory work are compulsory.
60 % attendance for theoretical lectures are compulsory.
